Alex Williams at Return On Subscriber, recently increased the open rate of a campaign by 27% after daring customers to unblock images.
The main image’s alt tag: “I can’t believe you’re blocking this image, don’t you want 40% off?” Take a look at the image here.
Williams still isn’t sure if it was entirely the alt tag that improved his open rates, but “it didn’t hurt, that’s for sure.”
